One-liner: the Generalitat's main annual music grant (Institut Valencià de Cultura) — €2.69M in 2026, the largest single pot of music money in the Comunitat Valenciana. Aimed at musical activity, not at company-building: read the eligibility carefully before assuming a startup qualifies.
What you get
Eight distinct modalities, each with its own beneficiary definition:
- Festivals, cycles and commemorative events — local authorities and their public-sector entities in municipalities under 100,000 inhabitants, plus companies, associations and entities with professional structure and management capacity. (The population cap excludes the city of València itself for the public-body route — city projects go to València Music City Ayudas instead.)
- Programming in exhibition venues — companies managing private venues with regular music programming located in the CV.
- Advanced music courses, competitions, conferences and congresses — local entities, universities and university departments, official education centres, companies, associations and foundations. Advanced courses must be exclusively for participants at grado superior level or above.
- Touring outside the Comunitat Valenciana — legally constituted music companies that professionally represent and commercialise their acts outside the CV.
- Live music show production — legally constituted companies based in the CV professionally dedicated to producing music shows.
- Biennial: organisation and maintenance of administrative structures — companies, associations and foundations professionally organising musical activity on a regular basis. (Two-phase, Dec 2025–Nov 2026 and Dec 2026–Nov 2027. This is the closest thing in the call to core operating support.)
- Composition of new musical works tied to their premiere — natural persons; works must be original, unrecorded, unpublished and unperformed before 1 Dec 2025, premiered within the call period, and not commissioned by the IVC. Prior-year (2025) beneficiaries of this modality are automatically barred.
- Recording production — professional record companies based in the CV, or whose project features Valencian composers or musicians resident in the CV.
Who it's for
Established music operators — promoters, venues, producers, labels, touring companies, composers. A technology startup serving the music industry does not map onto any of the eight modalities. Founders building music-tech should route to València Music City Ayudas (which does name technological solutions), EMPYME 2026, or the national innovation line instead.
How to apply
- Telematically through the IVC's own e-office: sede.ivc.gva.es (not the general GVA sede for document submission during processing).
- Window is 15 working days from the day after the call's DOGV publication — a short window; prepare in advance of the March publication.
- Activity must be executed 1 December 2025 – 30 November 2026 (structures modality runs two such years).
- Obligations include: publicising Generalitat/IVC logos on all graphic and audiovisual material; declaring any other funding for the same purpose; being current on tax and Social Security; and — for any single supplier contract above the contrato menor threshold — obtaining at least three quotes.
- Silence is negative (desestimatorio). Resolution should follow within 3 months of publication, though the 2026 edition's deadline was formally extended on 11 June 2026.
