One-liner: the Generalitat's culture agency — the largest public funder of music, audiovisual and
performing-arts activity in the Comunitat Valenciana. Created as the parent of the music grant line and
extended the same day with the audiovisual layer. Theatre, dance and heritage remits are still
uncovered. #status/verify
What a founder gets — audiovisual
- IVC Ayudas Audiovisuales — six modalities, headlined by a €6.7M production line for 2026–2028 (animation €1.07M incl. €30,000 for videogames; fiction €4.86M; documentary €770k). Also funds script writing and development, festivals/cineclubs/associations, cinemas, Cinema Jove, and traditional-crafts documentaries.
- IVC Mercados Audiovisuales — the industry-and-promotion arm: IVC-organised presence at Marché du Film (Cannes), European Film Market (Berlin) and Málaga Industry Zone; Films From VLC; Promercat; Premios Berlanga; Curts and Curt Creixent; FestiMapp; and the Registro de empresas audiovisuales that gates the CINDI cine grant.
- La Filmoteca (València, Alicante, Castelló) plus film and graphic archives; project strands including LABdeseries, DOCS València, Cartoon Springboard, Cortoons Gandia, Cinema Jove and the Berlanga Film Museum.

What a founder gets — music
- IVC Ayudas Actividades Musicales — €2.69M in 2026, eight modalities covering festivals, venue programming, advanced courses, touring outside the CV, live-show production, biennial structural support, composition, and record production.
- Backing for Fira Trovam — the IVC subsidises the Valencian music fair with €225,000, which is what makes its professional programme (speed meetings, pitchings) accessible.
- Backing for the Valencian Music Office — the free public directory of Valencian music industry.
- Adjacent music lines: musical-instrument acquisition grants for non-profit music associations, and grants to local-authority music and dance schools.
Who it's for
- Established cultural operators with professional structure and management capacity. Almost every modality requires a legally constituted, professionally trading entity — this is not startup capital.
How to engage
- Grants portal and telematic submission: sede.ivc.gva.es; general site ivc.gva.es; calls also published in the DOGV.
- Servicio de Ayudas, Dirección General del IVC, Pl. Ajuntament 17, 46002 València.
- ✅ Director General: Álvaro López-Jamar — CONFIRMED. Quoted by name in the IVC's own announcement of the
2026 audiovisual production call (ivc.gva.es, 2026-02-27). This resolves the

Key facts
- Music bases reguladoras are standing: Resolution of 26 May 2025, DOGV 10118 (29-05-2025) — so the annual call reuses them and only the convocatoria changes.
- 2026 music call: DOGV 10330, 26-03-2026; window 27 Mar–21 Apr 2026; resolution deadline extended by agreement of 11 June 2026 (DOGV 10384).
- Sits in the Conselleria d'Educació, Cultura i Universitats — a different department from the innovation side that runs València Music City and Valencia Innovation Capital. That split is why Valencia has two unrelated music grant routes with different logics.
