One-liner: the Generalitat's culture-side audiovisual grant system — six modalities, with a €6.7M production line as the centrepiece. The main public money for making audiovisual work in the Comunitat Valenciana, and — unusually — it funds videogames.
The six modalities
- Producción — the €6.7M line, detailed below
- Escritura de guión y desarrollo — script writing and project development (the earliest-stage entry point, and the most realistic first grant for a small company)
- Festivales, cineclubs, jornadas, concursos, proyectos y asociaciones
- Salas de cine — exhibition venues
- Cinema Jove — tied to the IVC's youth film festival
- Documentales sobre tradiciones vivas y sectores artesanales tradicionales de la CV
Each modality has its own Convocatoria / Solicitud / Concesión / Justificación cycle on the IVC site.

Who it's for
- Audiovisual production companies based in or producing in the Comunitat Valenciana.
- Animation studios — animation gets its own ring-fenced €1.07M and is excluded from the GVA Ayudas Obras Cinematograficas industry line, so this is animation's route.
- Videogame studios — the €30,000 videogame sub-modality sits inside animation. Small, but it is public money for games outside the Valencia Game City orbit. See Gaming (niche).
- Writers and developers — via the guión y desarrollo modality, with no production company required at the scale the production line demands.
How to apply
- All submissions telematically via the IVC's own e-office: sede.ivc.gva.es.
- Watch the DOGV and the modality index for each call.
- The production window is 20 working days — widened from previous editions after sector lobbying.
- Questions: audiovisual@ivc.gva.es · 962 93 66 21 / 962 93 66 20.
Live status
- 2026 production call CLOSED. Published DOGV 26 February 2026, window 27 Feb → 27 March 2026. Plurianual across 2026, 2027 and 2028.
- Notable: this was the first time ever the production call was published in February — the IVC had committed to the sector to call it in Q1, and delivered. Expect a similar February window in 2027.
- A further top-up is possible without a new call if the IVC signs its convenio with the
Ministerio de Cultura for the promotion of audiovisual work in co-official languages.
#status/verify - The separate exhibición de obras cinematográficas call ran 30 Dec 2025 → 21 Jan 2026 (closed).
