One-liner: the Generalitat's industrial audiovisual incentive — run by the Conselleria de Innovación, not Culture. €9.5M across three years, up to €1.5M per company, aimed at pulling large productions and their spend into the Comunitat Valenciana. The audiovisual twin of the culture-vs-innovation split seen in music.
What you get
- Up to €1,500,000 per beneficiary company in a single call.
- Total envelope €9,500,000: €5M (2025) · €2.5M (2026) · €2M (2027). The 2026 and 2027 annuities are conditional on the corresponding Generalitat budget laws.
- Covers production including post-production of Spanish or foreign film and audiovisual works.
Who it's for — read the thresholds first
This is not a startup grant. Hard eligibility floors:
- ≥ €2,000,000 of spend in the Comunitat Valenciana, and
- ≥ €4,000,000 total production cost.
- Animation is explicitly EXCLUDED — animation goes to IVC Ayudas Audiovisuales instead.
Eligible applicants:
- Production companies (including AIEs — agrupaciones de interés económico) registered in the Registro Administrativo de Empresas Audiovisuales de la Comunitat Valenciana, the ICAA register, or any equivalent Spanish register — or that have filed for first registration.
- EU production companies licensed to produce in their home state.
- Independent producers, and non-independent producers when coproducing with an independent one.
- In coproductions, one coproducer is designated beneficiary; all are jointly liable.
The cultural test
Applicants must document that the project meets at least 2 of 10 cultural criteria: official-language original version (or an EU language for coproductions/foreign shoots in Spain) · set mainly in Spain or the EU · direct relation to literature, music, dance, architecture, painting or sculpture · adaptation of a pre-existing literary work · biographical or historical content · mythological or legendary content · promotes understanding of cultural, social, religious, ethnic, philosophical or anthropological diversity · themes forming part of Spanish/European social, cultural or political reality · protagonists or secondary characters tied to that reality · aimed at a child or youth audience with values consistent with the education law. The cultural character must survive into the finished work.
Critical procedural trap
⚠️ The subsidised activity must NOT have begun before the application date. Under Art. 6 of Reg. (EU) 651/2014 the aid must be incentivising — starting production first disqualifies the project outright. Plan the application before the shoot, not around it.
How to apply
- Telematic only, via gva.es/proc23543. Requires advanced electronic signature; representatives must be pre-registered in the ACCV Registro de Representantes or the state REA.
- Register your bank account first through the PROPER automated procedure (
id_proc=22648) — before submitting. - Download and complete the required forms: Plan de gastos · Ficha técnico-artística · Ficha resumen del proyecto · Presupuesto coste proyecto · Plan de financiación · Obra cultural · Declaración responsable general · Autobaremación.
- Competitive concurrence; scored per Base 17 of Orden 2/2025, evaluated by a Comisión Calificadora.
- Resolution within 6 months of the window closing. Silence is negative.

Live status
- 2025 call closed. Window 22 July → 1 September 2025 (extended from the original 30 natural days). Provisional resolution and a corrected second provisional resolution issued Oct 2025; allegations 27 Oct – 7 Nov 2025. Justification for the 2025 annuity was extended twice, to 15 December 2025; the general justification deadline runs to 16 November 2026.
- No 2026 call published as of 2026-09-06 — cindi.gva.es still lists only 2023, 2024 and 2025
convocatorias, unchanged since 2026-07-27. The 2025 call opened 9 July 2025, so the 2026 edition is
now roughly two months past its equivalent window and is best read as overdue, not imminent.
Nothing has been announced about a cancellation either — the €2.5M annuity was always conditional on
the corresponding Generalitat budget law, which is the most likely explanation to test.
Recheck monthly; the bases (DOGV 10107, 14-05-2025) remain in force, so a call could still drop with
little notice.
#status/verify - ⚠️ Reading trap, recorded so future scans don't repeat it: a page at
cindi.gva.es/es/web/innovacion/-/convocatoria-2026does exist and is easy to mistake for this call. It is not — it belongs to the other competitive line in the same section, Ayudas territorios innovadores (subsidies to local administrations, window 26/03/2026–14/04/2026, provisional resolution published 16/07/2026). The cine call would appear under/innovacion/ajudes-obres-cinematografiques-i-audiovisuals, and does not.#status/verify - Bases reguladoras are standing: Orden 2/2025 (DOGV 10087, 14-04-2025), plus corrección de errores (DOGV 10107, 14-05-2025) — so a 2026 call would reuse them.
- A NOTA ACLARATORIA on the 2025 call is published on the CINDI site — read it before applying.
