One-liner: IVACE FEDER-cofunded grant for SME R&D projects (proyectos de I+D) — the classic regional R&D subsidy. The 2026 convocatoria bundles four programmes: PIDI-CV (R&D by an SME), PIDCOP-CV (R&D in cooperation), and their STEP variants (PIDI STEP-CV / PIDCOP STEP-CV).
Status: 2026 window closed (ended 31 Mar 2026). Annual line — expect a 2027 call in early 2027. (Supersedes the old "call not yet announced" note.)
What you get
- Subsidy as a % of eligible costs, by company size: small enterprise up to 45%, medium up to 35%.
- Optional advance: micro/small up to 75%, medium up to 50% (requires a 25% guarantee lodged at the Caja).
- FEDER cofinancing up to 60% (PIDI/PIDCOP); STEP programmes cofunded via the FEDER STEP window.
Who it's for
- SMEs (pymes) in the Comunitat Valenciana running genuine R&D that builds knowledge to increase competitiveness, product/service differentiation and quality employment.
- PIDCOP-CV is the cooperation variant (R&D with partners); STEP variants target strategic technologies.
Requirements & eligibility (PIDI-CV)
- Eligible project budget must be €50,000–€175,000 (projects outside this band are rejected).
- Project must start after the application date (incentive effect).
- Must run under a sustainable-development framework with a no-environmental-harm certificate.
Eligible costs (Orden 27/2016, art. 21)
- External services — R&D contracts with research organisations; exclusive technical assistance/consultancy (not grant-writing/justification support).
- Patents & licences acquired at market price (software licences not eligible).
- Own personnel — researchers, technicians, support (gross salary + employer Social Security) at CV work centres; capped at €50/hour.
- External audit required where total project spend ≥ €15,000 (VAT excluded).
How to apply
- Electronic only via the IVACE telematic registry at ivace.es — ACCV company-representative certificate required.
- Complete the model + annexes from the IVACE portal (submission = signature).
- Window (2026, closed): day after the DOGV extract → 31 Mar 2026 23:59.
- Justification/audit deadlines: up to 7 Oct 2027 (PIDI/PIDCOP), up to 4 Apr 2028 (STEP variants).
